SHE GRADUATED

Laura graduated from the Anne Arundel County Fire academy tonight! I am so proud of my little sister. She is one of the strongest people I have ever met. Since September she has busted ass and stayed at the top of her class. She did things that grown men couldn’t do. She lifted things, dragged things, put out fire, ran though burning buildings, climbed high ladders, drove huge fire trucks and endured lots of pain. She had back pain (helped by Pete), she had a broken hand and she had a lot of lost of sleep. She never gave up! She is one strong girl and I admire her so much!

Happy Birthday To Me!

After a week of pleading Pete wore me down last night and got me to open my Birthday Gift.  It is a Digital Video Camera.  It’s a JVC.  Here is the link.  I am so so excited.  I have been wanting one for a while and with my new Computer it will be so awesome.  My Computer had the iDVD program.  It records to digital tapes and then I can transfer it over to the computer and burn DVD’s.  How cool will that be!  I can also buy a memory card and it doubles as a Digital Camera.  I went to buy tapes for it during lunch today.  I can’t wait to try it out tonight.  Laura graduates (Finally) from the Fire accedamy tonight.  I am so excited for her.  That is the reason that Pete wanted me to have my present early.  So I could tape her Graduation.  What a thoughtful guy!  Here is some more information on the camera:

Caught With My Pants Down….. …..well almost….

Caught With My Pants Down…..

…..well almost. Pete’s dad stayed with up on Sunday night. It was the first time I met him and I was so nervous. Well everything went wonderful. So wonderful that when Pete talked to his Mom last night she went on and on about how she can’t wait to meet me. She told Pete I was very pretty, he said Thank you, then got all confused and said why am I thanking you, I had nothing to do with the way she looks. LOL Well anyways, Sunday night I was going to the bathroom around 2 am (I hate getting up in the middle of the night to go, donn’t you?) and I was all done and washing my hands and in walks Pete’s Dad, the Bathroom door swung right open! He was so imbarassed he turned and practically ran back into the Guest room. Poor guy! LOL He appoligized all over himself Monday Morning. I wish he would have just never mentioned it again. The image of him in his underwear is burned in my head forever!

A Herd of Buffalo

Image hosted by Photobucket.comOn my way to work I heard about the oddest thing I think I have heard about in a long long time.  In Pikesville, which is a predomitaly Jewish Upper Class area, there was a herd of Buffalo wandering around.  They were worried they were going to make thier way to the Beltway and shut down the busy morning commute.  They shut down part of the beltway.  They ended up trapping the Buffalo in a tenis court!  How funny!  Here is the story from Yahoo.  Here is the story in the Baltimore Sun.

Turn of Events

Wow a lot can change in a week, or a weekend for that matter. You knew Pete was moving to NJ and eventually I was going and that we were going to have a long distance relationship. Well then he decided he was going to stay with me for a while and then Move to New Jersey. I was happy about that. This weekend Pete went to NJ with his Dad and he was supposed to move some stuff up to New Jersey with his Dad’s truck and then the rest would go when he moved. Well Friday his Dad and him went to dinner and did a lot of talking and his Dad told him he wasn’t taking an stuff to New Jersey, that they would just go visit. (I didn’t find any of this out until last night.) His Dad told him there was no sense in moving a bunch of stuff up there to just bring it back here. Well last night Pete told me he wasn’t moving. He is going to stay here, with me in Maryland. I am SOOO Happy! You can’t even imagine. We are going to start a life together here at my house. I just need to find a place to put all of his stuff! LOL When he told me all of this it was at 12:30 last night and I mumbled “Good, I didn’t want you to move” and he said “Yeah I know and I didn’t want to move either, I couldn’t stand living without you.” I am so happy right now. I am glowing. I talked everything over with my Dad and he is ok with it. I know I am almost 27 (less then a month) and I don’t need his permission, but I did want his approval. I have never been a believer of living together before you were married. Never ever! But this is different, I wonder if it means it is the real thing this time. I was engaged and all and never lived with the guy, never even considered it. I don’t know if ready to marry Pete after only knowing him 8 months, but I am ready for our relationship to go on to a new level. I followed all my rules last time and we know how that turned out!

Last night Pete’s Dad came to dinner. It was the first time I met him. I made Chicken and Dumplins and broccoli and Cranberry Sauce. Dinner was fabulous. His Dad was really nice too and gave Pete his stamp of approval about me. He told Pete this morning that his mom is really going to like me. It was funny last night he told me what a nice house I had and asked me how long I lived there, I told him since I was 10…LOL Then I explained about moving back there. We talk and he seems like a nice guy. He confiscated photos of Pete and I and even one of just me. He told Pete that once he gets home Pete’s mom was going to give him the 3rd degree and he wanted visual aids. LOL

It was a nice weekend and I am happier then I been in forever! I am so so, Happy!
