Babysitting in the Country

This afternoon I went up to Nikki’s to babysit.  They went to a concert and wine tasting.  Pete and I were supposed to go, but then Nikki’s babysitter plans fell through.  Nikki said that she wasn’t going to go then and I said if you don’t go I don’t wanna go, and if I am not going I can babysit and you can go.  LOL  Basically there was no reason for us both to stay home and since it was her family that was all going, I didn’t mind being the babysitter.  She brought me back a nice bottle of wine for watching Ryleah.  I just lve spending time with that little girl.  I of course took 100’s of pictures.  I have picked the best ones and they are here for your viewing pleasure!  We played and blew bubbles and just had a great time.  It was such a great evening.  It is always much cooler up there then my house, but there was a great breeze and we just had the best time!  After her bath we were laying on her bedroom floor watching TV and she walks over to her crib and says “Sleep Lisa, Sleep”.  I asked her if she wanted to get in her crib and she said yes!  So I put her in there kissed her and bunny and she laid down and went to sleep.  I hope I am so lucky one day!

Fun Friday

I had a fun day. It was my last day off work so I wanted to enjoy it.  I went shopping, cleaned, did laundry, talked on the phone and then Ryleah came over for a visit. Nikki an her hubby went to dinner with her dad and I voluntered to keep my favorite little girl for a few hours. I was so excited on my way home from Pete’s work. I knew Ryleah was at my house and I coulsn’t wait to get home to see her. LOL I made us dinner on the grill and Dakoda and Crystal came by. We had a great time playing and all. I bought a Watermelon at the store today cause I just knew the kids would love it. They did.  It was a great evening.  Check out the pictures here!  Laura stopped by and I took some belly shots. I hope to do it each week. I can’t wait to see the change. She popped out a bunch this week. She goes to the doctor on Tuesday. I am so sad I can’t go with her. I hope they hear the heart beat. I am so excited about this new baby, another little one to love.  Check out these pictures.  I love Dakoda and Ryleah so very much!  They are both such fun kids.  Ryleah currently hates Pete.  She was really clingy at first when he would talk to her.  Just having her hold me so tight made me feel so good. I really think she loves me too.  She also calls me Lisa or Lisie and says my name so much. “No, Lisa” “Ok Lisie” “Stop lisa” “Juice Please Lisa”. It’s like every sentence gets a name in it.  So cute!  She has the sweetest little voice.  Dakoda loves Pete as much as Ryleah hates him.  It’s funny two see the differance!

Out Of My League, I Think Not!

I was watching the View the other day (boy will I miss my shows come Monday) and they were talking about dating out of your league.  There are a few articles about it online too.  Here is one.  On the View they were talking about how pretty people date pretty people and fit people date fit people, rich people date rich people, etc.  Well I have always been pretty (well except for those akward years 8-12) and never been fit and I am middle class, I have dated fit guys and ugly ones, poor guys and well off ones.  LOL I have never once thought a guy was out of my league.  I would call dibs on the hottest guy in the bar in Ocean City, and end up with him at the end of the night, ok that really only happend once, but boy was it a fun night ;).  One guy I dated was a body builder who spent hours at the gym.  He had like 6% body fat (and was hot), while I had (have) like 60%.  I never once thought it was odd, now looking back I wonder if people looked at us funny when we went out places.  Like “What is HE doing with HER?”   I had another ex tell me once that he always went out with chubby girls because he was fat and never thought he could do better.  He also told me I was out of his league and he couldn’t believe I ever went on a second date with him, which was a nice thing to say, rather he was buttering me up or not.  He also pissed me off by telling me that the aforementioned boyfriend, who he had seen pictures of, was out of my league!  I was appalled.  I never once consider ANY guy out of my league.  I didn’t know there were leagues.  Little did I know.  LOL   So last night Shanny and I were talking and we both have dated fit guys and attractive guys and skinny guys and fat guys, etc.  She agreed with me that no one was ever too good or too untouchable for us.  She is so funny!  Then we got to talking about self esteem.  We both are oozing it.  We came to the realization that these leagues are made because people think they are not good enough and we know we are way good enough.  I think people who think little of themselves settle for other people who think little of themselves, thus creating these leagues.  Also I think some people think they cannot do better then a certian type and settle for other people of the same type.  I on the other hand never felt this way.  How about you?  Do you think physically your attractiveness and or size go hand in hand with your mates?  Do you know any couple’s from mixed leagues?  Pete is a big guy, but even if he wasn’t I would love him cause he is a great guy.  I also think if he was skinny he would still love me cause I am a good catch and not too bad on the eyes myself.  Pete is also a Doctor, I, well I am not.  I work in an office and probally always will.  Now I make 4 times minuim wage and by no means am I poor, but I am not rich either.  When I met Pete I assumed he was rich (well a rich doctor isn’t unthinkable).  I expected a Lexus and a Rolex.  Turned out he was poorer then me and has tons of student loans  and a 15 year old car.  So he went from above me financially (in my head anyway) to below me (with all that debt) and never once did it matter to me.  One of the examples on the show was Doug and Carrie from King of Queens.  Carrie was built like a model and Doug, well he was fat, but he is adorable!  So Cute, I would totally be with him.  😉  He is on my freebies list.  I think him and Carrie although one is fat and the other thin were a perfect match!

Day at the Pool

Yesterday I went to Sherri’s brother’s house to swim with the kids.  It was so nice and I had a fabulous time.  Check out all the pictures HERE.  It was Sherri and her girls, Tabitha and Sabrina and Sherri’s Mom Ms. Judy, along with William and Courtney, Sherri’s niece and nephew.  It was so much fun.  The kids had a really great time and loved that I took pictures. I got a bit of sun even though it was cloudy for part of the day and I was covered in SPF 50 sunblock.  I really wish I had a pool.  It has always been a dream of mine for my grown up house to have a pool!  These are my favorite pictures of the day.

Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit is a professional wrestler.  Well he was one until he killed himself on Sunday.  Before he killed himself he murdered his wife and his 7 year old son.  It has been all over the news.  I feel the worst for his son.  I got all upset talking to Pete about it last night.  Can you just imagin how much this little 7 year old boy looked up to his wrestler dad.  Back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s my friends and I used to hang out at the hotel where all of the wrestlers would hang out.  We have met Chris Benoit two times at least.  Tony and I were talking last night about how we have met a killer!  Here are our pictures:

Like Father, Like Husband

On the Today show they were talking about women being attracted to men who resemble their fathers.  I found this so interesting.  They were talking about how girls who have had great relationships with their Dads have better relationships with their spouses, and Women who had a good relationship with their fathers growing up, are more likely seek out a mate with similar traits and features    My sister and I have always have an awesome relationship with our Dad.  He is truly one of our closest friends.  We just hang out with him alot, we vacation with him, and we chat on the phone daily and see him at least 3 or 4 times a week.  We are lucky.  In the segment they also said how if you didn’t have a good relationship with your Dad you seek out a strong man who is the opposite of your Dad.  They were also showing pictures of famous people’s Dads and how much they resemble their Dads.  Like Angelina Jolie’s Dad (young version) looked so much like Brad Pitt.  I don’t think Pete or Brandon resemble my Dad at all.  Not in the looks department.  In the humor department they are all very similar, of course Brandon and Pete are not a goofy as my Dad, but they both make Laura and I laugh alot.  They also said if you didn’t have a good relationship with your Dad it is never too late, if you cannot have a good relationship with your father, then find a man you look up to and work on a relationship with him.  I found this all fascinating.  So does your boyfriend or husband look like your Daddy?
