I’m baaaccckkkk………..

So it has been forever since I have blogged.  I think facebook is ruining the blogging world.  At least for me.  I want to blog, I really do.  I write blogs daily in my head.  I just never have time to put them on the computer.  Some of the things I want to blog about are:

What’s been up with me.  My new job, vacation planning, new vacation plans, new camera and of course my favorite people in the world, Alyssa and Austin.   If I actually get to all of these topics we are looking at a VERY long blog entry.

Let’s start with my new job!  I am very excited about it.  There are so many positives with this new job and so far only two semi negatives.  The first being the business attire I am required to wear everyday and the 2nd being the very very limited internet access at work.  I am actually typing this at work and I am going to email it to myself to post from home.  I hate being so restricted.  I can not access anything.  Dressing up kinda sucks too.  I have worn semi casual clothing to work for the past  15 years.  WOW 15 years, I am so ready to retire.  LOL

The positives out weight the negatives for sure.  My favorite benefit is the 3 weeks vacation time I get after I finish my probationary 90 day period.  THREE WEEKS!  As you may or may not know I live for vacation!  Speaking of which I still need to post all about our Arizona vacation from last month!   I’ll add that to the list of topics!  LOL  Some of the other great benefits are the 401K with matching up to 5%, Health, Dental, Vision and life insurance, plus lots of other benefits like a discount of my cell phone bill and home internet/cable/telephone.  The job is in a whole new field.  For the past fifteen years I have worked in Real Estate either for Attorneys or Title Company.  While 15 years ago this was a lucrative profession to enter into, with the downturn of the economy and the housing market it was pretty scary out there.  So I enter my new career in the Healthcare field.   I am working for a huge company with about 3600 employees.  I have never worked with more than 15 people so this is all so brand new.  It is exciting though!

I have been planning my next vacation.  I can’t wait.  Only 109 days until I fly to Florida.  Yes Yes Florida again.  Why do you always ask me this?  We are going on the Disney Dream!  We are heading down a day early for a little retail fun at Downtown Disney and then Pete and I, along with my Dad, Sister, Brother In Law, Alyssa, Austin, My Aunt and cousins will board the Disney Dream for a 3 night cruise.

As soon as that three day cruise is done we will get off the boat and turn around and get right back on the boat for a 4 night cruise.  Making it a week on the Disney Dream!

Doesn’t that sound like FUN?  I can not wait to be sitting on that balcony watching the sun come up over Castaway Cay!    Oh I am so looking forward to the AuqaDuck.

Once we are all cruised out Pete and I will be heading for a 2 night stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  I am almost as excited about this as I am about the cruise.

We plan on possibly visiting Epcot while we are there.  If we don’t it won’t be that big of a deal since we are heading to Walt Disney World for Alyssa’s 4th birthday in January or as she says her FOUR BIRTHDAY.

In January we are heading to Walt Disney World for a week.  It is going to be great!  My Dad is going along with my sister, Brother in Law and the kids.  We are staying at the Boardwalk Resort.

This is the first time staying at the Boardwalk for our family.  The Boardwalk is such a great resort due to being so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  Alyssa is so excited.  We talk about it daily.  She is going to love it and what better way to celebrate a birthday then in Disney World.  I am also excited about this trip for other reasons that I will go into at a later date.  HA, cryptic right.  LOL

Pete and I have another cruise planned for June of 2012 with our friends Patty and Dale.  This is going to be fun.  We are going to Canada on a 5 night cruise followed or preceded, haven’t decided) with a quick trip to New York City since the cruise is sailing out of New York.  I am excited about not needing to buy airfare to go on a cruise.

I am also working on some weekend getaways of course.  Now you can see why I am so excited about the 3 weeks vacation I get at the new job!

The thing I am most excited about here lately is my new camera.  I have had my old camera a little over 3 years and it has been wonderful.  But I mastered using it and wanted more.

Pete bought me a Nikon D7000!  I love it.  I still have so much to learn with it though.  It was a nice step up for sure.  Look what a baby my old camera is compared to the new one.  My lucky sister ended up with the old one though.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures I have taken so far with the new camera.

I am so looking forward to the vacations we have planned for this year and hope to take lots of great pictures.

My babies!  They are growing up so fast.  Look at them!

Alyssa is growing so fast.  She is SUPER smart.   She knows all of her letters and numbers.  She can write her name.  She can spell her name, Austin’s name, Mom, Dad, Pop and a few other small words.  She remembers EVERYTHING.  She is also getting very tall.  She is at least 40 inches tall and is wearing a size 5t!  She loves playing angry birds and Candyland.  I love having conversations with her.  She really is one of my favorite people in the whole world and I would do anything to make her happy.

Austin is a fast learner too and is already trying to walk in addition to crawling and climbing the steps!  He is a shorty though and all of his pants need to rolled up.  He is getting more and more red hair.  He has way more than Alyssa had at his age.  She is saying Dadadadada and making lots of other noises.  He is eating babyfood and baby snacks even without any teeth.  He wants to eat grown up food so bad.  Hope those teeth come in soon!  We will all be happier!

So that is my update in a nutshell!  Look for more updates on a regular  basis, I am really going to try!

I’m Back!

I am going to finish my Trip Reports and I Promise to try to blog 3-4  times a week!  I miss it.  I like being able to look back and see my life all in writing.  The good the bad and the ugly!

We had our first out-of-town house guests this weekend.  Well my Sister in Law came for Thanksgiving, but these were the first of my friends to come.  It was great!  Michele, Steve and their two adorable kids came for the weekend.  It was so much fun.  We had a great time playing games and hanging out and Ice Skating and watching tv and talking.  It was just fun!  They have two girls, 15 and 9 yours old, they are the sweetest girls ever.  I would love to kidnap them each for a week!

Alyssa is growing up so fast.  She is so smart!  She can count, and sing and pee on the “toe-let”.  She calls me all the time.  I love her more than anything.  More than I ever thought it was possible to love someone.  She is  just a totally Joy!

Pete is doing great!  He was working 70-80 hours a week between our vacation time and the New Year, but thankfully that has stopped.  We are going away this weekend for some much-needed “US” time.  It should be great!

Vacation planning has been in full force.  We are still undecided about a summer vacation, but we are going to Disney in the beginning of December for a long weekend, then back to Disney and on a Cruise in January.  It should be alot of fun.  I am not sure where we are staying in December, but I am hoping for the Boardwalk in January!

Being a homeowner is great!  I love my house and I love being a grown up!  Paying the mortgage sucks each month, but we are making it and still have money left, so we must be doing something right!

So all in all things in my life are good, right on track and I could not be happier (well unless I win the lottery or something..LOL).  We have big plans for this year and I am really looking forward to all the fun to come!

Catching Up!

I have not been blogging like normal.  I am not sure what the reason is.  Partly, I think it is because I know some people read my blog that are real life people, people that I wish didn’t keep tabs on my life.  I finally posted about last weekend, You can click HERE to read about it!  I also have been super busy at work.  I am doing litagations and forclosures and it is so envolved and time consuming it cuts into my free time at work.  In addition to all that I have been busy with wedding stuff during free time and of course there is Princess.  She is so prefect and getting so big.  I love her so much!  She is really the cutest best baby!

Pretty Girl

Laura is heading back to work so soon I will be watching the baby alot.  I am really looking forward to it.  I am going to be the best aunt (like Jamie).  My aunts have all let me and my sister down since my Mom has died.  I swear I will NEVER be an aunt like that.  I will be there for alyssa no matter what!  She is part of my sister, therefore she is part of my Mom and being with her is just an honor.  I will be watching her on Mother’s Day.  I guess being with my Mother’s grandchild is the next best thing to being with my Mom.  I do plan on taking the baby to visit Laura at work that day!  I only have 7 months to finish all of my wedding planning.  I still have so much to so, so many craft projects.  I am lucky I have good bridesmaids.  I will totally be calling them for help making shirts and programs.  I am soo excited, this is all so exciting!

Good Stuff

Today was a good day at work.  It was our Holiday party day!  When I got to work there was a pile of gifts on my desk!  I got a stuffed Mickey and Minnie from my Secret Santa; a $50 gift card for Target from the boss, that I plan on using tonight to finish my shopping; a tin of home made cookies; a Christmas Ornament; a Bath and Body Gift set; a Pin; a Photo Album, Christmas Sock, Post it Notes and a candle.  I got some lip gloss and lotion too!  It was a great haul!  We went to McCormick & Schmicks for a holiday lunch.  It was a fun time.  I also ran into an old High School friend, Tajuan.  When we walked into the restaurant and he was the host.  We exchanged hellos and then I went to our party room.  He walked by a while later and waved.  The attorney sitting next to me didn’t know I knew Tajuan and he cracked a joke about the host hitting on me.  Then he said that the host was hitting on him.  Dan the attorney said, “That host is hitting on me and he isn’t my type”  I said “What Black guys aren’t your type?”  He said “NO GUYS!”  LOL  So then we are eating and laughing and having a good time and our waiter refilled my drink and then said to me “Lisa?”  I said “Yes?”  and he handed me a paper with Tajaun’s number on it.  Well Dan the attorney was like OMG that hpst was hitting on you and just had the waiter gave you his number!!!  I have heard about this happening, but have never seen it!”  We all started laughing and I finally I told Dan I knew the host!  It was so funny though!  We got to leave right after the lunch and Crystal (my friend at work, not Dakoda’s Mom) and I went to the bank to cash our checks.  Well mine wasn’t signed!  We had to go back to work to get my Boss to sign my check, and then I had to go BACK to the bank!  UGH what a pain!  I still picked Pete up a hour early and Laura and I are heading out to finish our last bit of shopping!

To end a good day, Pete got some GREAT NEWS!  He got a $6,000.00 raise!  I am soo excited, this couldn’t come at a better time with the wedding in the near future!  I am so proud of him, he also got a great promotion!

Long Day…Almost Over

My day was so freaking crazy at work today.  I got all jittery and crazy.  I was being pulled in 100 differant directions at once.  I am so glad that today is almost over.  I am heading up to bed in a few minutes.  Work really sucks, I am doing the job of 2.5 people and I am only one girl.  It is so stressful and so not worth the money I am being paid.  I am working harder then I have ever worked and being paid less then I have been paid in 5 years.  The market is just that bad.

After work Pete and I ran to Super Fresh and got stuff for lunches and we needed to pick something up for dinner tonight.  We got breakfast stuff.  We had Scrambled Eggs, Taylor Pork Roll, English Muffins and Hash Browns.  On the way home from the store Crystal called to see if I was going to be home tonight.  She had 3 boxes of clothes for me and Nikki and from a friend of hers. I still have to go through them all.

Crystal and Dakoda got to my house right as I was starting to cook and Dakoda wanted to help.  Crystal thought I was nuts, but I let him help me crack eggs, scramble them up and cut muffins.  He has a blast.  He ate more food then I have ever seen him eat.  Dinner was so good and it was nice to have good friends to share it with.

Before they left Dakoda asked Pete to “fix his back”.  Dakoda jumped right up on the adjusting table and Pete adjusted his subluxations.  After he was done he helped Pete adjust Crystal!  He is such a great kid.  He loves Pete and I so much!  Almost as much as we love him!  He didn’t want to leave.  Crystal had to carry him out of the house!  LOL

I finally caught up on reading all my favorite blogs.  I have missed you guys!

Now I am off to sleep!  I am beat and I have another long day in front of me tommorrow!

Jumble

My mind is a jumble of things.  I have not been in the mood to write much, not even emails (Sorry Jamie, I will write you back soon!).  There is tons going on in my life right now, way more then I want to get into here.  Thank goodness I have my Mexico vacation planned in just two short weeks.  Two weeks til I am lounging in Mexico!

Work sucks right now!  The market is horrible and people are getting laid off all around me.  I am one of the only two employees still on full time.  I am thankful, don’t get me wrong, but the stress is wearing me out.  Monday I came home from work and went straight to bed, I walked in the house and up the steps.  Tuesday I had to work late then go get papers signed by a borrower after work hours.  I picked Pete up late and we went to dinner and I came home and took a long hot bath and went to bed.  I haven’t blogged, I have read any blogs, I haven’t emailed.  I am taking lunch now at 2:04pm.  I am starving and needed to eat.  I thought I would throw a quick post up here because I hate having a gap in my blog.

This work stress is making me ugly.  I went through an ugly phase a few years ago and I can feel myself slipping back into it.  I have wrinkles around my eyes and my right eye has been watering non stop for a week.  I have also been super sleepy and my routine is all messed up.  For instance:

I always dap a bit of sparkles on my chest and cheeks, every morning.  This morning driving Pete to work I said  –  “Oh Darn, I forgot my sparkles”  Pete’s response was “Don’t you have any residuals lingering around?”  LOL

I am sure he loves going to work with sparkles on his lips and clothes.  LOL  I also am in need of a hair cut and I need my nails done so bad.  I have appointments for a hair cut and a Manicure and Pedicure before Mexico and Pete’s friends made me an apointment for a facial once I get to Mexico!

These next two weeks are going to be SUPER LONG!

Exciting Stuff

I had an exciting day.  First I was told by my boss that I am going to be taking the licensing class and will be getting “Alot of added responsibility” in the coming months.  This is after he told me what a wonderful job I have been doing on Friday and I have received constant compliments at work.  Now the business is sketchy at best, there have been layoffs all around along with a decline in business.  I have kept my feelers out and I have a interview tomorrow evening at a Chiropractor’s Office in Annapolis.  I am excited about that.  It would be wonderful experience for when Pete opens his office.

Also today I booked our hotel for Mexico.  It is a small resort with only 33 guest rooms right one the Sea of Cortez.  I am so so excited!  It is going to be wonderful.  The hotel has a pool and is right on the waters edge with a view of the mountains.  Get ready for a sea of pictures to follow the trip!  I also set up our rental car.  We got a full size car for $20 a day!

To top off the greatness of today Pete comes home tonight, I am leaving for the airport in just a few minutes!

Here are some pictures of our hotel in Mexico.  I snagged them from the web site.  I will post links to the web site once we get back!
