Weigh In

So last night Pete and I went for our weigh in and we both lost again.  Thank goodness.  I don’t think I could handle gaining.  I lost 3.6 pounds and Pete lost 3.8 pounds.  Bringing our grand totals to 17.6 pounds for me and 23 pounds for Pete. 

We are both enjoying the Weight Watchers program.  It is easy to follow and it still allows us nights to go out to eat and not follow it 100%.  We get extra weekly points to use so we can still go out and enjoy a resuarant dinner and not feel guilty!  We have both been losing.  Pete is pretty sure he will be able to get to -100 pounds by the wedding. 

I am so proud of him for doing this with me.  I think about how much healthier we are and it makes me happy. 

There is no way in hell I would ever have weight loss surgery unless it was a life or death issue.  It scares me.  Pete feels the same way.  Neither one of us have the desire to be cut open and have our insides all rearranged.  The risk is just too high.  I know it has worked for lots of people and I think that is great for them, but I think for us the results can be attained by eating healthy and exercising.  I enjoy going out to eat, I enjoy sweets now and then and I don’t want to give any of that up, I don’t want to give up the option of rich or fatty foods now and again.

Pete and I had a conversation last night about emotional eaters and people who can not control thier eating.  We are not those people.  We came to the conclusion that we eat (and over eat) because our Mom’s were great cooks.  We like food and we like cooking and we like the way good food tastes, but we are not addicted to it and these past 5 weeks have proved that.  We have just cut out the bad food from our diet and we are losing the weight we want to lose in a healthy way. 

Pete was a sweet lover (me not so much) and he just stopped cold turkey; no candy, cakes, etc.  He was also a 4 or 5 can a night soda drinker and now he will have a diet coke once a week or so. 

I am a firm believer that everyone should not be a size 2 or 4.  I think we should all be the healthiest we can be and if that makes you a size 18 or 20, or a size 24 or 26 that that is what you are meant to be.  I don’t have any weight related health problems, no high blood pressure or cholesterol so I know even though I am not a size 4 I am healthy.  Pete had started showing signs of sleep apnea but they have all disappeared since we started this.  That was one of my goals, to get Pete healthier and it is working greatly!    

Happy Birthday

I want to wish the best sister in the world a very Happy Birthday! I got her a great surprise gift, but I can’t tell you about it until after she gets it! This picture was taken on the day we brought Laura home from the hospital….I was so proud that “Our” baby was finally with us.  I was so excited!  Bringing her home from the hospital is my earliest memory.  I hope she has a wonderful day! 

****Laura’s Birthday Surprise was delivered a little while ago! It is an Edible Arrangement. She has wanted one for a while now (even talked about ordering herself one) So I went and sent it. How neat would these be for Wedding Centerpieces…..They would double as appetizers!

Happy Mother’s Day

My 1st Mother’s Day - 1979

I want to wish all of you Mom’s (and Mom to Be’s) a Very Happy Mother’s day!  It was a hard day for me, harder then the past 4 years I think…..I think it was hard because I kept thinking about how much my Mom would have loved Alyssa!  I look at her and feel so sad that she got cheated out of a wonderful Grandmother.  Life is not fair.  On the bright side, I was very thankful to be able to spend today with little Alyssa!  She is so sweet and the two hour nap she took in my arms was the best two hours of the day! Laura had to work today so Brandon and Alyssa spend the day with Pete and I.  It was nice to have dinner and play Nintendo with the boys.  I was glad to have them with me today!   I hope you all had a wonderful wonderful day!!! 

ADRs

Well this morning I woke up at 6am excited as if it was Christmas Morning!  Today was the day we could make ourdining reservations. We got all 11 meals we wanted.  We are even going to be eating in the Castle with all of the princesses!  I am so excited.  We have a bunch of meals at restaurants I have never eaten at before.  Now it is only 10:30am and I am sooo tired!  I think I am going to take a nap before we head to the movies!

Disney on a Budget

Ok, before I go on and tell you all how to save bundles at WDW let me tell you I won a contest last week on Jennifer’s site.  She has so much good Disney Information.  I get to pick something from Amazon up tp $20.00.  I am picking this!  How awesome! 

Now….Disney on a Budget.

I have been to WDW many times and each time I find a way to save more money. 

I usually go during Value Season.  You can save tons that way.  The best “value” resort in my opinion is the Pop Century.  It is the newest of all of the “Vaules” and it also has it’s own bus.  The All Stars (2 hotels) all share a bus system.  The Bus is a great way to save a few $$$.  You do not need to rent a car if you are staying on Disney Property (why stay anywhere else).  The bus service can get you anywhere you need to go.  I would also make sure you go for the Disney Dining Plan.  Pete and i found out we saved at least 30% a day using it last year.  We do not have kids, but when we do we will be picking up treats at Disney Store Sales before we head south.  WeTinkerbell will leave a gift for the kids every night.  The kids will also get their own spending money for souvenirs.  They will think about what to buy and make good choices since it will be their own money.  We love Disney Dollars and collect them before our trips now.  Plan on staying atleast 7-10 days….I know longer vacations mean more money, but the park tickets get cheaper each day you add on.  There are alot of free things at WDW.  We can spend days not entering a park.  There is Downtown Disney, resort hopping and enjoying your own hotel.  These are just a few of my Money saving tips……

Mickey Moms Club

A year ago something Disney popped into my email box. Well, this happens several times each day so it was nothing unusual for me…LOL. Disney was launching something called the Disney Mom’s Panel, they would choose about 10 Disney parents or the Disney Planner of the Family, regular people who love Disney, to serve as “advice givers” to trip planners visiting the Disney site….and as reward, Disney would give them a free a trip to Walt Disney World in December.

So, I sent in a application, why not!

A few months later I got another Disney email which said, “Hey, all of you people who didn’t make it, we want to stay in touch with you and we’re forming a club of Disney-loving parents such as yourself…and we’ll to send you lots of neat stuff…for free!”

I received a huge envelope with Mickey Ears all over it.  I was excited and I opened it to find a bundle of really fun Disney stuff including:

-Two Disney Tinkerbell pins (one for me and one to share, Pete grabbed it right up.)
-A huge Disney Mom’s Club magnet for my car (we have it on the fridge).
-A  “mouse pad” (I use it at work every day).
-A glossy photo & stickers of Mickey & Friends.
-A Disney planning DVD
-A pocket guide to planning for WDW trips

This is great stuff! I feel very special sure I know I’m being rewarded for doing some Disney marketing but it doesn’t bother me. Every day I give trip and planning advice, as I suspect the other thousands of members do… We love Disney and we’re happy to help our friends and family.

 

 

Wedding Woes

I am calm now I swear! 

I was so upset this morning.  It is 180 days from our rehearsal dinner and I called Disney to book the location and I was told we could not have it at the time I wanted.  They said it had to be at 5:00pm!  Well Pete’s parents flight doesn’t get to Orlando until 4:15pm.  There is no way they could be at the location for the rehearsal dinner 45 minutes after they land!  I mean seriously their flight leaves AZ at 6:30am……By 4:15pm they will be beat!  So I called Group dining, Magical Gatherings, Group Dining again, regular reservations, and a general number.  I begged and pleaded and almost cried to them.  I did cry, but not on the phone!  I was so upset.  I emailed my wedding planner to start in on plan B which would have been a Desert Party in Epcot.  But it isn’t what I wanted.  I was so upset.  I got the Rehearsal Dinner location’s direct phone number, well actually the direct number for the manager.  I called and left a message.  I waited and stressed and waited!  Finally I couldn’t wait any more!  I called back and spoke with the manager!  She was beyond wonderful and arranged it all for later.  Now we can go to the beach watch the fireworks and then head to dinner.  ALL OF US!  ALL 22 of us!  I am excited!  I also called the Bakery and found out about a Grooms cake.  I think I am going to go with the Vanilla or Marble Cake filled with Strawberries and Cream and Chocolate Icing.  It will be a big Mickey Mouse head!  I am so excited!  I feel so relived!  I was so upset!  Now I need to work on my “Newsletter”!  I need to let everyone know the plan! 

This wedding stuff is not just stressful, but pricey as all get out!  But it will be worth every cent!  

Six Months

In just six short months I will be on the Disney Wonder.  I will be nervous about the next day, the day I get married.  I won’t be nervous about marrying my one true love, but I will be nervous about my Dress and my Hair and the favors being set up just perfect.  I will be nervous about the flowers being perfect and the pictures being wonderful.  I am sooo very excited.  This is a dream come true.  Sometimes I just want to pinch myself, I can not believe it is real.  I am so excited about cruising again, it’s been like 3 years since I have cruised.  Cruising is such a wonderful vacation.  Disney does it the best too.  They have the attention to detail and the entertainment that you just do not find on other cruise lines.  Sure I could be biased, but I think the thing is I cruised with Disney 1st.  I cruised with Disney 3 times before I cruised with any other cruise line.  The other cruise was fun, but is was all because of the company I was keeping, not because of the cruise.  The cruise was ok, but the entertainment and dining were lacking.  I can not wait to share people’s first cruise with them.  More than half of our guest have never cruised before.  I am so happy that they are cruising with me!  I can not wait.  I really hope the next six months go by as fast as the last six months!

Disney - When to go?

I love Disney (for those of you who didn’t know) and I found someone else who loves it too.  There is great info in her site!  LOVE IT!

This are some questions from her site:

When do you go and why? - I love to go in the winter, January or February!  It is cool and crowds are low.  This year we are going in November for our Disneymoon, it’s a first for me so I will let you know how it is.  We will get to go to the Christmas Party so that is a major plus! 

How far in advance do you plan? - I usually always have atrip in the works.  I start planning for the next one soon as I return from WDW!

What do you do first? - First I pick when….then I pick where to stay (On property of course)!

What resources do you use–websites, books, forums? - I love the Passporter Books and the DIS boards!

How much thought and detail do you put into your daily itinerary?  I plan every minute, I have to see it all!

Wii Love It!

 

 

Pete and I are loving Mario Kart.  We got it over the weekend and we have loved playing it.  Tonight when I got home from Lauren’s Dance recital we played for about an hour.  I love Mario.  Super Mario Bros. 3 is my favorite.  I just downloaded it for the Wii.  I am not a game nerd or anything,but like the games of my past.  I rember the Christmas we got our Nintendo (we still have it and it still works).  It was the year they came  out and it cost like over $100…..That was a ton of money in the 80’s!  My sister and I played for hours that Christmas break.  My Grandmother was watching us while my mom worked and she wouldn’t let us play with the sound on cause it drove her crazy!  LOL 

A little of This, a Little of That

Weigh in…….I am down 4 more pounds for a total of 14 pounds GONE!  Pete is down 3.6 pounds for a total of 14.4 pounds lost.  I am so proud of us!  That is alot of weight in 3 weeks…Go us! :)  I am worried however that my wedding dress is going to be ginormous and the dinner dress I got for the dinner the night of the wedding is going to be too big also!  I am not so worried about the dinner dress cause I can always get another one, but I ordered it two sizes smaller and I could already zip it tonight….It was snug in places, but I could still zipper it up!  I love my wedding dress so much, what if it is too big to alter?  Here is a question for you married ladies out there….Did you have to have you dress taken in, if so how much?  Did it change the look of the dress?  How many pounds equal a dress size?  

Last night after the weigh in we went to one of my favorite places to eat.  Texas Road House….Yummy!  My eyes were way bigger then my (shrinking) belly.  After weigh ins Pete and I go out to eat, we get something we wouldn’t eat the rest of the week.  I got Steak, Ribs & a Baked Potato.  It was so good, but I had atleast half of it left over and took it to my Dad.  That is one rule of our “after weigh in meal”…..We can not take the (Bad Food) left overs home with us.  I couldn’t just let it go to waste so I took it to my Dad.  He loves leftovers.

So my Dinner Dress came today.  I really like it and it is casual and looks really pretty on.  It is a bit snug around the hip area, but I think it will be fine.  I plan on taking it to the same seamstress that I am taking my Wedding Gown to for alterations.   I also got 3 new shirts and a new bathing suit.  I needed a few spring things for work.   

Tuesday night I watched my little Princess and she was so wonderful.  She really is the best baby.  She NEVER cries unless she is hungry, she smiles and laughs and is just so sweet.  I love her so much.  I can’t remember life without her.  I really wish my Mom could have met her.  My Mom loved babies so very much.  I know she would be a great Grandmother.  Sometimes life isn’t fare.  I am also sad that my Mom will not be at my wedding.  It is so hard to even think about, getting married with out my Mom there.  I mean it’s your MOM she should be the one helping you get ready and fixing your hair and telling you how pretty you are.  I do have an idea though.  I am going to get a locket and put my mom’s picture in it and I will have it attached to my bouquet, kinda underneath.  That was she can be with me (atleast in some way) on my special day!     

I also ordered all of the supplies for our programs.  I got sparkly White Paper and some sparkly pink paper (I am not 100% sure for what yet, I just loved it).  Soon as we get confirmation from Pete’s one hold out friend I can start making them!  He still has one friend who says they are coming, but hasn’ book a trip, so we will see.  I am not holding my breath!  

This is all so real now, this wedding thing.  We have booked everything, bought rings, got my dress……It will be here before we know it.  I can’t wait.  I am so lucky to marry the love of my life in front of our best friends and our closest family!   

 

Got Them!

 

Finally after being on hold about an hour I got the Tickets!  I am so excited.  I have never been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but I have read all about it and it sounds so wonderful.  They close the park down and only sell a limited amount of Tickets (like 15,000-20,000).  Usually the park holds double that so it will be VERY low crowds.  They have a special parade and fireworks, they give out hot cocoa and cookies, they even make is SNOW on Main Street.  So our bank account balance is $107.28 lower, but I am SOO EXCITED, so it all evens out!  LOL

HOLD

I have been on Hold With Disney Tickets Center for 30 minutes!!!!!!  Tickets for the Very Merry Christmas Party went on sale today.  Pete and I will be attending the party during our Honeymoon.  I am so excited about it!  It will be worth the wait!

Great Weekend!

So this weekend was pretty darn great!  I got my wedding band.  It is so pretty and I love it oh so much!  There are 7 diamonds across the top separated by little bars.  It’s four round diamonds and three Begets.  The same two shapes as the side of my engagement ring.  Isn’t it great!

 

 

Yesterday I was supposed to go to Nikki’s to visit with Ryleah and Nikki, but I was up all night with an upset belly.  I think I must have ate something I shouldn’t have at Katelyn’s First Communion party.  But it was good that I didn’t go because my uncle (the one who owed me money for my Grandmother’s house) came over with $2,500 for both my sister and I!  YAY!!  That is 100% wedding fund money.  My wedding is going to be so perfect.  I am working on little candy bad for the people who are going to dinner with us the night before the cruise.  We are taking our Parents out to dinner as a Thank You/Rehearsal Dinner.  We won’t be rehearsing anything, but I think it is a nice thing to do.  They are spending so much money and traveling so far to be with us.  I also need to start working on our program fans.  I need to order the sparkly paper, ASAP.  We are at 6 months…WOW how exciting.  You know how when you are growing up you picture the guy you will be with forever and ever?  Well Pete is the Great, Sweet, Honest Guy I always pictured I would be with.  Now in all honesty I did picture myself with more of a Handy Man, you know one who could fix anything (Like my Dad), but instead I got an intellectual (Doctor!) who is just as funny as my dad.  Weird how things work out.  I thank god every night when I go to sleep for the life I have been blessed with.

Also this weekend we went to Katelyn’s First Holy Communion.  She looked so pretty!  It was fun and afterwards we went to the party. 

  

 The baby was so good at church and at the party.  I rocked her to sleep.  She is such a good baby and so very sweet.  I am so happy Laura went back to work (sorry Laura, I know you aren’t happy bout it) cause Pete and I get to watch her atleast once a week.  I see her ever 2 or 3 days, but the one on one time is fun.  So is feeding her.  Laura is doing so good with breast feeding though.  When she is at work she pumps and I get to feed Princess with a bottle.  Pete actually gave her a bottle the other night and it was the first time he had EVER fed a baby!  He loves her so much.  It is sweet.  He is always talking to her and giving her little kisses. He is going to be such a good Daddy!

Sunday I was feeling crappy so I slept until my Uncle came over.  Then we went to Laura’s for dinner.  She made a great pork roast.  YUMMY!  We hung out and chatted and had a good time.  Then Pete went home and Laura and I went to Superfresh.  I left there about $175.00 poorer!  Why does healthy food cost so much freaking money!  WHY!!!  It is worth it thought I know.  Here are a few pictures from yesterday.  Aren’t they the cutest! 

 

After shopping and putting away almost $200 worth of food Pete and I played a little Mario Kart on the Wii.  Oh it was so fun.  We really enjoyed it so much!  We did however stay up way to late playing Wii.  So I am sleepy now!

 

I Got My RING and Other Wedding Ramblings……

I am so excited.  We bought my wedding band yesterday.  It is perfect and dainty and beautiful!  I love it so much.  I have spent the morning taking it in and out of the safe to try on.  LOL  It isn’t any of the rings I have posted.  We got a good deal on it to.  Platinum is pricey!  I am all about good deals.  I am watching the Travel Channel special on the Disney Cruise Line…Yes again!  I watch it like once a week.  I get so excited watching it.  LOL  I am so glad that I picked this as a destination wedding.  I love the idea of not getting married here in Baltimore.  It will be so very hard without my Mom, but I think it would be harder here in her church, Laura’s wedding was so hard and it wasn’t even mine!  I love Disney, all things Disney, I love their attention to detail and my wedding will be a dream come true.  Now that said I am very sad that all of my family and friends will not be there to see me get married.  I will miss my old school friends and my Grandparents so so much that day.  I am happy that My Dad will be there to give me away and my sister will be there standing beside me.  I COULD NOT get married with out my immediate family there.  Pete feels the same way.  Like your day isn’t complete with out your parents there supporting you!  Plus all of my BFF’s will be there supporting me!  YAY!  I am so close, I just can’t wait!  Six months, one week and one day!  That is it!  We still have sooo many things to do!  But I have no fear….Our day will be the most special day ever!

Sadness

I am so sad right now.  My co-worker and friend is 21 weeks pregnant and today she found out that the baby has a Cleft Lip and Palate!  I am so sad for her and the baby.  She has already named the baby Abigail Reese (love the name).  I am sad that she has to go through this.  She was crying so hard today at work when her doctor called her.  I am sitting here looking at my favorite picture of Alyssa and I thank god she was/is prefect!  Please keep my friend in your prayers today!

A Few More Gone…..

Tonight was our 2nd Weight Watchers weighin….We both lost again this week.  Pete lost another 5.6 pounds bringing his grand total to 11.2 pounds gone in two short weeks!  I on the other hand did not have a stellerweek.  I lost 2.6 pounds bringing my 2 week grandtotal to a nice even 10 pounds!  I was really concerned cause I have done really well, no cheating or anything.  The  told me that since I have my period this week it is expected that I would lose less.  The recommended 2 pounds a week so I was above that, but I still feel a little sad after my huge loss last week.  I am adding an extra day of water aerobics into my workout plan this week to help those pounds drop off faster. 

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Pete and I were talking during our drives back and forth to DC this weekend about how happy we are that we are Honeymooning in Walt Disney World.  I was a bit worried since I love it so much.  I didn’t want Pete to miss out on a Honeymoon he really wanted.  This weekend he assured me that he wouldn’t want to Honeymoon anywhere else.  Sure there are beaches in Mexico and Hawaii and California; there are islands in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, but after two or three days the beach can get boring.  We can’t afford a world tour to like Paris or Germany, so that is out.  In Disney World we will have days full of fun.  There are rides, shows, 5 star dining, tons of entertainment, night clubs, comedy clubs, exquisite resorts.  Seriously could you ask for more!  I think not!

With This Ring…..

With this ring I will marry the greatest guy I have ever known!

Yesterday Pete and I went to get my ring repaired…I had to leave it another week….and we planned on starting our search for his wedding band. Well Pete has giant hands and none of the cool rings are ever in his size, they are all special orders. Well someone had ordered this ring and then not picked it up. Soon as Pete put it on we both fell in love with it. It is really him. It looks like it was made for him! So we bought it yesterday and took it home with us. I can’t stop looking at it.

We found another ring that I like. It is so hard to choose. The ring I found that I like is part of a wedding set. They would have to special order it so we don’t the cost. They are going to contact corporate and let us know next weekend when we pick up my engagement ring.

Day of Babies

Yesterday was a day of babies for our friends and I am so happy for them. 

Pete got a call from his friends Paul and Michelle and yesterday Zoey (love it with the “Y”) Marie was born at 7:15am at their home, planned home birth.  She was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 19.5 inches long!  These are our friends that live in AZ.  We haven’t seen them since we went to Mexico in October!  I can’t wait to see move pictures of the baby!

My friend Kim called me last night and let me know about two new babies in our group of friends.  Our friends Kristen and Woody got the call yesterday and they got their new little girl Marissa.  They are adopting her through DYFS in New Jersey.  She is 2 years old and according to Kim she is beautiful.  She is half Chinese and half caucasian and has long pretty black hair.  It is awesome because Kristen has wanted to be a mom for so long and has only been in the program with DYFS less then a year.

DYFShas been busy our friends Meghan and Filx also got a little boy yesterday from them.  They adopted thier daughter from DYFS a few years ago and now have a new son.  I don’t know his name…I completely forgot to ask.   

I am so happy for all the new parents, children and families!

Sex in the Woods

Last night before Pete and I went to our WW meeting we were driving around looking for a house to buy in the neighborhood we want to live in.  We do this all the time, but they are still so expensive that I don’t see it happening before the wedding.  Possibly soon after though.  So anyway we are in a remote area of the neighborhood and there are wood to my left.  I looked over and about 50 feet into the woods I see what I think is a guy taking a pee.  All I see is his bare ass.  So I am looking of course and then I see that he has a girl bent over in front of him.  I am watching and Pete says “Watch the road!” so I tell him the are doing it!  I turned around so we could get another look and Pete yells out the window to them.  LOL  Well I about lost it.  I had to turn back around to leave and we seen them pulling up their pants and hurrying around.  LOL  This made my night!  I could make myself laugh just thinking about it.  I had to call and tell all my friends.  It was so funny!  I have never seen anyone else ever having sex before! 

Week 11

Pete and I went to our weigh in tonight and I am so proud of us.  We got there and waited in line to be weighed in.  I was nervous.  I don’t know how people go and find out they gained weight.  The week that  happends I will be crushed!  But not this week, this week we did so good.  Pete lost 5.6 pounds and I lost 7.4 pounds this week.  I thought for sure Pete was going to be the biggest loser, but in the end I came out the winner!  The meeting sucked ass though and we are not going back anymore.  Well we are going and getting weighed, but I can not sit through another boring horrible meeting.  The leader is about 99 years old and rambles, ugh!  But the point counting is working and Pete and I are doing good.  We talked about going out to celebrate and have a good dinner, but we both felt guilty so we came home and ate the low fat Pasta bake I made on Monday night!  It was good and we are both stuffed! 

Wednesday Weigh Ins

Tonight Pete and I have our first Weight Watchers weigh in.  I am predicting 4 pounds for me and atleast 10 for Pete!  He is looking so good.  He has even had to move his belt down a notch!  A whole notch in only one week!  We have both been very dedicated.  We have not cheated or went over our daily amount of points.  Shoot I am under most days!  Pete hasn’t had a single soda either.  This is big for him.  He loves him some Pepsi.  Last night while Crystal and I were at water aerobics she asked me why I was doing this (Weight Watchers, exercise, etc.).  I told her cause I am worried about my arms looking fat in my wedding pictures.  She said that I have never worried about things (my upper arms) like this.  I told her I was never one to get married in a straples sdress before either.  LOL  What she says is true though.  I have always had high self esteemand been happy with myself.  You are who you are and I think all people are made differant.  I have lost some weight this year and I am worried that my fat upper arms will get flabby!  Right now they are fat but tight.  I am scared they will get flabby before the wedding and look horrible.  That is why I went back to water aerobics two times a week to try to tighten them up.  I am going strapless for my wedding in less then SEVEN months!  I also did this for Pete.  I know he has sleep apnea and slightly high Blood Pressure.  I think he needed me to do this with him, and come on who wouldn’t want to slim down some.  So that brings me to weekly weigh ins.  I will let you all know how much we have lost later tonight and keep you posted every Wednesday.  One thing I am worried about is if I lose too much then my wedding dress (already a bit too big) will be HUGE!  They can alter them down a few sizes with out messing up the dress right?  

Sad

So we were watching American Idol tonight and I found out that Elliott Yamin’s Mom passed away!  She died on March 31st.  The first thing I thought was “Mother’s Day is going to be so hard for him”!  I know it will be cause it is a horrible day for me.  I think it will be atleast until I have a little one.  It makes me sad for the people who are going to have their first Mother-less Mother’s day!  I plan on spending the day with my niece.  I will be her God Mother one day soon!  My thoughts and prayers are with Elliott.  He was always one of Pete and my favorites.  I remember when we went to the concert she was in the audience.  Elliott said today it was his first on stage performance with out her in the audience! 

Stuff

So I check my stats every once in a while, I like to see how people find my blog.  Do you all do that?  It is neat when you see someone from another country pop up.  Some times you see stuff you wish you didn’t, like when real life people come to your blog.  People who don’t like you.  I know of atleast 3 or 4 real lifers who read my site, people that I didn’t share my blog address with and would rather them not stalkread my blog!  Sure I have many real life people who are avid readers and commenters and I love when I see they have been there catching up!

{Did you come to my blog at 3:39pm today?  I know you did!  The proxy you used didn’t work.  I just don’t know why you care about me and my life so freaking much.  You don’t know me!  I mean sure I am fabulous, witty, fun and have lots to say (not so much lately) but you are not my friend so why do you care?!?!?!? Why don’t you just….Go away!}

I spoke with my Wedding coordinator today.  She is great!  I think I want to have Hot Pink Rose Petals line the aisle on the beach.  I need to check on cost of course, but it is do-able.  I am so excited about this wedding.  It is going to be fabulous.  I can not wait.  We are getting so very close now.  Just thinking about it makes me so excited.  Pete laughs at me daily over my excitement.  Saturday I was over the moon excited!  I can not wait to wake up and take a few steps and see tons of animals playing!  I am not an animal fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the thought of this has me so happy!  I know Pete is excited too!

Today has went by super fast, which is always great in a Monday!  I think it was because I was still on such a high from my good news this weekend!

EKKK!!! So Excited!

Today I got the confirmation…Pete and I will be staying for 5 nights and 7 days at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!  I am so very excited about this!  I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to switch our reservations and I had pretty much let my heart settle on the Wilderness Lodge.  While I do want to one day stay at the Wilderness Lodge, this is our wedding and I wanted it super special!  The Animal Kingdom boasts the biggest pool on Walt Disney World Property and the Animals are right there.  It is going to be great!  I need to call all of our vendors; Flowers, Photographers, Transportation Company…They all need to know of the change.  Actually I may email some of them now!  EKKK!  This is so wonderful.  What a great Saturday!

Playing Catch Up (Again)

Ok so I am playing catch up again.  This blogging thing is getting harder and harder.  So are you all wondering what new is going on in the life of Lisa? 

• Work is super stressful!  My forclosure case load is growing daily!  It is crazy.  I wish people would just pay their mortgage!  LOL
• Alyssa is getting so big.  I love her so much and totally love spending time with her.  She is so sweet.  Last night I babysat for Laura and Brandon while they had a must deserved night out.  After Pete fed her she went to sleep and slept for hours.  Not much fun, but it was great snuggle time.
• Pete and I joined Weight Watchers.  We have both been doing really good.  We don’t wight in until Wednesday, so I will let you know.  We joined about a week after good friends of ours and they are doing fabulous.  He has lost 6 pounds and she has lost almost 4…in a week!  Talk about inspiration.
• Buying healthy food is expensive!!!  We spent so much money at the food store on Thursday! 
• I got some more “goodies” for the kid’s cruise bags.  The Disney Store is full of sales.
• Pete’s Best man has finally booked his trip!  YAY!  I am soo happy.  I went ahead and booked his air fare too.  Grand Total $2300!!!  For two people not including the $100 or so worth of tips.  That is what they get for waiting to the last minute.  The prices go up the closer you get to sailing.  I am just happy he is going to be their for Pete!  Now we are waiting on ONE MORE groomsman and we are set!
• Did I mention I am in love with Alyssa…oh yeah I think I did!
• We are only 6 months and some odd days away from our wedding!  How exciting!  It is all setting in and I still have sooo much to do!  LOL 
• THANK YOU WORDPRESS for the Spell Checker back!
• I made awesome Baptism invitations for our friend’s little girl’s Baptism!  I am so proud of them and I am getting much faster with Photoshop….I got them don’t in only like 15 hours (total time).
• I am sure there is MUCH MUCH more to write.  Maybe I will write a real update later today!

Catching Up!

I have not been blogging like normal.  I am not sure what the reason is.  Partly, I think it is because I know some people read my blog that are real life people, people that I wish didn’t keep tabs on my life.  I finally posted about last weekend, You can click HERE to read about it!  I also have been super busy at work.  I am doing litagations and forclosures and it is so envolved and time consuming it cuts into my free time at work.  In addition to all that I have been busy with wedding stuff during free time and of course there is Princess.  She is so prefect and getting so big.  I love her so much!  She is really the cutest best baby!

 

Laura is heading back to work so soon I will be watching the baby alot.  I am really looking forward to it.  I am going to be the best aunt (like Jamie).  My aunts have all let me and my sister down since my Mom has died.  I swear I will NEVER be an aunt like that.  I will be there for alyssa no matter what!  She is part of my sister, therefore she is part of my Mom and being with her is just an honor.  I will be watching her on Mother’s Day.  I guess being with my Mother’s grandchild is the next best thing to being with my Mom.  I do plan on taking the baby to visit Laura at work that day!  I only have 7 months to finish all of my wedding planning.  I still have so much to so, so many craft projects.  I am lucky I have good bridesmaids.  I will totally be calling them for help making shirts and programs.  I am soo excited, this is all so exciting!

New kids on the Block will be on the TODAY show tomorrow, April 4, 2008! I am so excited. I already have my TiVo set up. They will also be part of the Today show’s Summer Concert Series and preform live the summer. I really hope this means a reunion tour is in the works. (Michele, are we still on for it??) I loved New Kids like I have loved no other group since. They were popular right as I was discovering boys and I discovered and lurved them! Joey was my favorite. Why? I have no idea why I didn’t love the hot bad boy Donnie Walberg?

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to Laura & Brandon. My sister got married two years ago and was the prettiest bride ever!  I wish them many many more happy years!

Opening Day

Alyssa went to her first Oriole Game today! It was Opening Day here in Baltimore and the city smelled like hot dogs and traffic was horrible….ahhh Baseball season has started! I was sad I didn’t get to go to her first game, but my sister sent me pictures of Princess all dressed and ready to go! Isn’t she the cutest Oriole Fan!

New Jersey

Pete and I went to New Jersey this weekend.  We have great friends that live in New Jersey and when we visit them we have a fabulous time.  They have the cutest little girl who is so fun to be around.  I love her so much.  The weekend we laid around the house alot and watched some movies and relaxed.  Sometimes you just need a break weekend, one to recharge! 

On Saturday evening we went to eat at a deli names Harold’s.  OMG The sandwiches were HUGE.

    

  The biggest I have ever seen!  We ate off of them for 3 meals!  The deli gives you as much bread as you want to take home with you, they know you will have leftovers.  They also have a pickle bar with like 20 differant kinds of pickles.  It is crazy!  We also shared one piece of Cheese cake between 4 adults and one child…there was plenty!
