Last night I finally got a new Cell phone.  My poor broken old phone was a bit over 4 years old and I was in need of an upgrade.  I got the Palm Pre.  OMG I love it.  It is so sleak and new and fun!  I don’t know a whole lot about it, we didn’t get home until like 10 last night and I only played with it a little bit before heading to bed.

Now it is no iPhone…but since Pete got two weeks ago, I can use his when ever I want.  We stood in line for 2 hours to get his phone!  It was like we were waiting in line for something great.  People kept walking by asking what the line was for!  LOL  He is totally in love.

Smart Phones all around!

Wonderful Weekend

I had such a fabulous weekend! Friday night I had a great dinner at my sisters, she is really becoming a good cook!  Saturday I went to Pennsylvania to visit Nikki and Ryleah and took Crystal, Dakoda and Alyssa with me.  Saturday night my boy took me out to dinner and then we visited Jason at work and Sunday we cleaned, cut the grass, visited Laura and Alyssa and saw UP!  Woah….I soo need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

Saturday morning Pete and I met Alyssa and Brandon at our normal breakfast place and had a wonderful breakfast, with the good waitress, not the miserable “C U Next Tuesday”!  (LOL  I just heard that saying and been wanting to use it….LOL)  Then we went home and picked up Dakoda and Crystal and headed up to PA!  The kids were so good playing in the car.  That Alyssa….She kept waking Dakoda up when he fell asleep and then would laugh so loud.  LOL

We stopped at a road side stand for produce before getting to Nikki’s.  Oh how I love my roadside produce stands.

Once we got to Nikki’s we covered the kids in sunblock and headed out for some pool fun!  Alyssa was in awe of all of Ryleah’s toys.  I had to drag her outside!

Here are a few (well maybe a few more then a few) pictures I took on Saturday.

Remember When?

I saw this fun little activity on my friend Lisanne’s Blog a little while ago and thought that it would make a neat blog entry to steal.

“If you read this, even if we don’t speak often, post a comment with a memory of you and I. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. When you’re finished, post this paragraph on your own blog and you’ll be surprised at what people remember about you.”

Squeaky Shoes

Last night we were leaving my sister’s house and Brandon went to put on his Sneakers.  They had been sitting outside while Laura and him were camping.  Well he went to slip it on and felt something in it….A MOUSE!  Well now a dead squished Mouse!  LOL  He was sooo freaked out and Laura, Pete and I almost pee’ed our pants.  We called him Mouse Killer all night.  We even had Alyssa saying  “ewe!”.  It was Pretty Gross.  Brandon ripped his socks off and ran inside to scrub his foot.  There was even some Blood on the sock!  YUK!!!

Table for Two

Alyssa at Breakfast!

On the days that Laura and Brandon both work I wake up at 5:20am and go to Laura’s house to get ALyssa up, Fed, Dressed and to take her to Day Care.  This morning Alyssa woke up sooo early.  Like 6:15am.  (Most Likely from all the damn banging her Mother was doing in the kitchen at the butt crack of dawn!!)  This is when I am usually getting an extra hour of sleep, not today (Yawn!).  We snuggled in bed for a while then got up and got dressed for the day.  It was still only 7:10am so we walked a block down to a little neighborhood resurant to have breakfast!  Alyssa LOVES to eat out, LOVES IT!  Who I am I to deny her a good breakfast.  She ate two pancakes and 1.5 sausages.  Little porker!  LOL  after breakfast I took her to day care, but she was tired and clingy.  It makes it so hard to leave her.  She snuggled up in my neck and I held her a few minutes.  She didn’t cry when I left, but I am hoping she didn’t cry once she discovered I had snuck out.  LOL  I love this little lady so much.  I can not wait to pick her up tonight!  The happiness in her eyes when I walk in after work makes up for a long week!

Weekend Over…

The Weekend is over, well it was over yesterday! Why does it have to go by so fast!

Sunday I worked on my Wedding Video for HOURS! But before that we went to Target, Staples, Superfresh and the best Chinese food place in the world!

The weather was so nice it wasn’t a bother to be out and about. I am glad we got all of his stuff done. I hate when we run out of everything at the same time.

I have tweaked a few more things in the Video, changed a song added a picture slideshow and credits….I love it. I can not stop watching it.

My Wedding Day was beyond perfect! I had some nay sayers telling me to got get my hopes up, something will go wrong, etc, etc, etc! But nothing did. I have lovely weather, great hair, an excited groom! The whole day was just what I imagined! I am sad that I have to wait 10 or 15 years to do it again. Oh yeah we are sooo having a Disney Vow Renewal!

I miss my favorite girls. Laura and Alyssa are in Ocean City until tomorrow and I can not wait to see them. Even Pete is missing our girl. She is the light in our lives. I feel sorry for people who do not know this joy! She is so funny and sweet and loving. She makes my life complete!

Well I better get back to work!

Oh but first Happy Happy Birthday to Michele!

Saturday – No Rest – Lots of Fun

Weekends are always so busy for the working people!  I would LOVE to be able to go to Sam’s Club on a Tuesday Morning, by I need to work to have money to spend at Sam’s Club!  LOL

Yesterday my boy and I had a great day.  We laid around in bed until almost 11am before  we got up, showered and headed to breakfast!  Our goal was to to to Breakfast and then buy some food….We were all out….100% out!

We had a great Breakfast at Cookies (of Course) where we had our favorite waitress and not the other lady (mean hag) who works there.  After breakfast we wanted to go to the Farmer’s market, BUT it ended at 12 and we didn’t get there until after 12:30!  LOL

We headed home to get our reusable shopping bags (why oh why does Sam’s boxes suck now!).  We also needed to pick up the Sam’s Club card.  We shopped at Sam’s and did good.  We only bought Alyssa two outfits and a pack of three umbrellas for our selves.  All of this damn rain we have been having is driving us nuts!

We also bought Meat!  Lots of Meat!  We spent $150 at Sam’s.  Have you ever noticed that everything cost $10 at Sam’s Club.  It you count your number of Items and times them by 10 you will get a round about idea how much you will spend.  We had 17 items and Spent $150.  We had a few low cost items like Milk and Bread, but it was pretty close!

We took home out food and put it all away….My fridge looks like  a butcher shop.  LOL

Then we decided to drive to PA.  There is a store near Nikki’s with great prices.  We took a cooler to keep things cold, but we should have taken the big cooler.  We spent $85 in D&K and got soooo much stuff.  We filled out cooler, actually we had to take frozen items like Breakfast Sandwiches and Sausage out of their boxes to make everything fit!

We met Nikki and Ryleah for dinner.  OMG that child Talks Talks Talks.  LOL  She is the best.  She invited us back to her house to play some games.  We didn’t stay long, Pete drooled over their TV (I know we will be buying a flat screen sooner then later) and looked at Jason’s guns while Ryleah and I played Don’t break the Ice and Monkey’s in a Barrel.  I also read to her.  It was fun.  I love spending time with “my Kids”.

We stopped for Ice Cream at Handles on the way home.  I love that they have Frozen Yogurt for those of us who can not at Ice Cream.  Pete loved it too.

It was such a good day.  I was sad that we were not going to Ocean City with the rest of my family, but I made the best of the Saturday and  Pete and I enjoyed spending the day together!

Movie Time

Pete and I love going to the movies.  We have a neighborhood movie theatre that is not only cheaper then the others in the area, but they have, hands down, the best popcorn ever.  It is so good!

Last weekend we went to see the Hangover.  Ran, do not walk, to your closest theatre and see this movie.  It was a comedy (duh!), but not one of those Will Ferrel Type comedies.  It was funny and witty and so entertaining.  Alot of people in the theatre broke out in applause when it ended.  We laughed the entire movie.  It is a new classic for sure.  I will be getting this on DVD when it comes out.

Last Night we went to see Pelham 123.  This movie had a very interesting story line.  It was entertaining and had a few big named stars in it.  This is where the problem lays.  John Travolta was not very good in it.  Ever single time he said Mother F*cker I laughed.  He did not play a bad  guy well at all.  I kept seeing him  in Hairspray or Look who’s Talking, then I would giggle!  LOL  Pete and I talked about it and we think that Bruce Willis or Ray Liotta would have made a much better “Ryder”.  He was the main character and just so unbelievable.  But the story was good.

Now I want to see UP.  I really want t o see it in 3-D, but the Pop Corn drawls me to Hollywood Theatre and they are not showing it in 3-D!

We went and checked in, love Priceline, and got a Presidential room.  Our room was right next to the Spa.  After checking out the room we went to lounge in the hot tub.

Pictures of our room!  It was so nice.

After the hot tub we got showers and went a drove around.  It was starting to get late and we were worried places would close since it was a holiday weekend.  We went on the search of somewhere to eat.  We didn’t want to eat at Pizza Hut, I like local places.  We ended up at the State Street Grill.  OMG it was so great!  We wished we were locals so we could go back.

It looks as if they do not have a web site.  But it was amazing.  They had beer on tap, something local that Pete loved.  Pete got a Burger that was out of this world.  I got Truffle Mac & Cheese and Chili Lime Wings…OMG Heaven!  They were the best wings ever!  We had a great waitress too.  She recommended the deserts we had.  We each got one and shared.  We had Creme Brulee, which was the best I ever had and Peanut Butter Mousse cover in chocolate….OMG  Just thinking about them makes me want to drive 5 hours away for dinner tonight.  LOL

It was a great evening.  We headed back to the hotel and relaxed a bit before heading to sleep.

The Next morning we got up and went to the main building for free breakfast.  I was expecting ceral and muffins, but was greated with Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Waffels, Muffins, Bagels, Fruit, Ceral, Oatmeal, Joice and few more things.  MMM Best free breakfast ever!

After Breakfast we headed to the outside lounge and just sat and talked.  Check out wasn’t until 12:00pm and I like to get my money’s worth!  LOL

After checking out we started talking about what we wanted to do for the day!  SHOPPING!  We headed to Amish Country to hit up the outlets in Lancaster.  On the way we decided to go to Good and Plenty for lunch.  Pete loves their buttered noodles.  I swear we went here for noodles.  LOL

Shopping was fun!  I got a bunch of stuff and so did Pete….THEN we hit the Disney Store outlet and Alyssa scared big!  Plates were on sale so she got 5 of them.  A new Bathing Suit and cover up for the trip was needed too!  We also go a few gifts for a birthday party we had to go to the next week!

I also got a new Coach Purse.  Oh La La !  I need to take a picture of it.

We stopped at Sonic after the outlets for a Cherry Limeade.  MMM!  So good!

During our Trip we were so close to Scranton, PA we decided to go to Margie’s brother’s restaurant.  I am a big hotdog fan and I have heard his are the best….Well Now I can sat they are.  Everyone needs to tgo to Coney Island Lunch.  MMM MMM Good!  Margie’s brother Pete was not working so we didn’t get to say Hi.  BUT we did have the BEST Texas Wieners EVER.  We had a Texas Cheeseburger too….I wish I had double wieners.  LOL  The burger was good, but nothing beat the hotdog.  Oh the mustard was sooo good!

In this cave it is always 38 degrees.  No matter how hot or cold it is outside.  During the 50’s there was a restaurant built here and they would open the doors and let the cool air in as AC in the summer.  They also stored all of their food in the cave.  Free refrigeration.  This is a trick they learned from the Indians.  The Indians used this cave as a storage place for food.  You are not allwed in the cave right now because the bats who live in the cave have something wrong with them.

Lisa? Lisa Who?

Ok Ok, I think I was blogged out.  I was bored and just haven’t had much to say.  Work has been soo busy that I have to actually work like the whole day.  LOL

My Grandfather is still doing horrible, I just don’t see how he is going to recover from any of this.  I feel horrible for his suffering!  I have slacked off on going to visit because it is so hard.  He is so not himself and it hurts too bad.  I already miss him, he is gone, not himself, not anything.  It it so tough.

I have been spending lots of time with my Alyssa girl.  She is growing so fast and I don’t want to miss any of it.  She is so funny, she really cracks me up sometimes.  Just last night she had me rolling when she would take two deep breaths then stick her whole head under water in the tub!  LOL Then the sweetness soaked in while I was snuggling with her while she took her bottle and fell asleep in my arms.  That great baby smell is the best!

My house is a wreck, I have not been home long enough to give it a good cleaning.  I need to set up our home network too.  I have bene trying to back up my pictures because I ran out of space on my laotop!  EKKK!   LOL  I also want to get the office in shape this weekend.  It is still so full of wedding gifts and leftover DIY wedding projects.  Pete needs to start studying for his tests and needs a good space to do it.  We have a new desk to put up and organize!

This weekend Laura is going camping (I miss ALyssa already) and my Dad is going to the Ocean.  Pete has a dentist appointment and I just have so much to do around the house we are staying home.  Hopefully we will get alot done this weekend!

What a Wonderful Saturday

Today was great, it was an all around great day.  I slept like crap last night and woke up way to early today.  Once I got up I talked to my sister and we agreed to meet for breakfast.  This is one of my favorite Saturday traditions.  I love having breakfast with my favorite people.

Breakfast was so yummy and I got to sit next to my girl.  She ate so good this morning.

My Movie Star! by you.

Hi! by you.

When we left Cookie’s Pete and I were heading to Wegman’s to grocery shopping and Laura and Brandon were going to visit his Grandfather.  Poor Alyssa was so so so sad that she wasn’t going with Pete and I.  She tried to get into our car and then cried when she had to get in Laura’s car.  Poor Girl.

Pete fell in love with Wegman’s.  I was pretty impressed myself.  I always think about going there, but with it being a good 30-35 minutes away we never do.  Well today he informed me that we are shopping there atleast every two weeks.  LOL  We got some great deals.  We also bought some stuff for our cook out tomorrow.  Well Laura’s cook out.  We have a pork shoulder in the crock pot almost ready to be shredded for Pork BBQ and stiff for cucumber salad.  I also bought everything I needed to make a HUGE batch of brownies for the graduation party we are going to next weekend.  It was a good haul all around.

Once we got home we put all of the groceries away and headed back out to get some beer.  Pete has been wanting to try some kind…It all tastes the same to me.  I cooked on the grill for lunch then Pete ran to the local Superfresh aka “Ghetto Fresh” to get some things we had forgotten.  We also caught up on some of our shows from this week.

After watching “In Plain Sight” we went and picked Alyssa up and we headed off to Rita’s for some desert.  She is the best.  I swear I have never imagined loving someone as much as I love her!

I miss my Mom sooo much.  May is so hard, Mother’s Day, My Birthday (Spending the day you were born with out the person who gave birth to you is just plain misserable) and the day she passed away, all in that order!

Love you Mom!

Dancing Queen

Alyssa loves to bee-bop!  Shanking her head is one of her favorite dances.  She also likes to spin in circles (Crazy Girl)….Here is a head shaker for you all to enjoy!  Hopefully we can get the spinning recorded too.  She makes me smile everyday!

Princess & The Frog

I am so excited about this…..I love the Disney Hand Drawn movies, The Little Mermaid, Lion King & Beauty & The Beast are my favorites.  I hope this new movie stands up to the hype!

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is usually so sad for me.  This was my 5th Mother’s Day with out my mom.  I remember the last one I shared with her, she was so very sick and bedridden.  I was just so hapy to be there with her!  I got her new sheets as a gift that year.  They were the sheets that were on her bed when she died.  Isn’t it wierd the stuff that sticks!

This Mother’s Day was wonderful.  I spent it with my two favorite people; Alyssa and Pete!  Here are a few pictures of us getting ready to head to brunch.

After brunch we went to Laura’s Fire Station so Alyssa could visit with her Mommy on Mother’s Day.  We stayed about an hour and a half.  On the way  home Alyssa fell asleep, Pete and I tried our best to keep her awake until we got home so she would nap properly, but she passed out on us.

Once home She and I snuggled up on the sofa for a good hour, or hour and a half.  She napped and I watched Schinler’s List.  When she woke up she wanted “Gaba Gaba” on so then we watched Yo Gabba Gabba and played for a few more ours until her Daddy came to pick her up!

Stuff

Just a few things I have noticed and wanted to write down…..

  • Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but sometimes is just a little scary and or sad.
  • Some people act younger as they get older….GROW UP.
  • Rain Sucks, I am sick of it.
  • Friends can always be counted on for a smile.
  • I could not live without my TiVo.
  • You just don’t know some people, you may think you do, but you don’t.
  • Why don’t ugly people wear makeup?
  • Take what life hands you and make the best of it.
  • Nothing is better then a 1.5 year old laughing while you chase her through out the house….don’t ever catch her, it makes her cry.
  • Printer Toner Smell makes me slightly ill!

These are just a few random tidbits I have rolling around in my head while I am trying to get some cases filed….Oh the Joy!

  • My Grandfather – Still not looking really good.  He has brain damage to the Cortex.  Here is some info:The cerebral cortex is the layer of the brain often referred to as gray matter. The cortex is gray because nerves in this area lack the insulation that makes most other parts of the brain appear to be white. It covers the outer portion (1.5mm to 5mm) of the cerebrum and cerebellum.  The cerebral cortex consists of folded bulges called gyri that create deep furrows or fissures called sulci. The folds in the brain add to its surface area and therefore increase the amount of gray matter and the quantity of information that can be processed.  The cerebral cortex is divided into right and left hemispheres. It encompasses about two-thirds of the brain mass and lies over and around most of the structures of the brain. It is the most highly developed part of the human brain and is responsible for thinking, perceiving, producing and understanding language. It is also the most recent structure in the history of brain evolution.  Most of the actual information processing in the brain takes place in the cerebral cortex. The cerebral cortex is divided into lobes that each have a specific function. For example, there are specific areas involved in vision, hearing, touch, movement, and smell. Other areas are critical for thinking and reasoning. Although many functions, such as touch, are found in both the right and left cerebral hemispheres, some functions are found in only one cerebral hemisphere. For example, in most people, language abilities are found in the left hemisphere.

Basically it is the Grey Squigly part of the brain.  he is off of all seditives and still has not woken up.  I am scared, so scared.  I don’t want him to die.

  • Jobs – Pete got a new one!  YAY!  Well it is in the same company, but it is a manager position in a different department, one that is brand new.  He even gets to pick the hires to work under him.  I am so happy and so proud of him.  I know he will be so much happier.

  • Houses – We found one we want to buy.  We are working on Pre-Approval and making an offer this week.  I really hope it isn’t too late, but we will see.  Fingers Crossed.

  • Mother’s Day – Hate it!  I knew I shouldn’t, but I do.  I am insanely jealous of those who have Mother’s to share it with.  I will get to share it with my favorite girl, Alyssa since Laura is working all day, but it is so sad not to have my Mom!  I think if this rain ever stops Alyssa and I will go to the grave yard and plant flowers for my mom.

  • Birthday – My Birthday is in 13 days.  I love my Birthday!  I really hope Pete has something great planned.  Or atleast something good!  LOL  I love being the princess for the day, too bad my birthday is on a Tuesday….Yuk, I like weekend Birthdays!

  • Vacation – 6 months from today we will be sailing away on the Disney Wonder.  In 5 months and 24 days we will be going to WDW.  I am so excited and so lucky to get to have such special yearly vacations.  I have booked our plane tickets to Orlando, we got a steal at $69 a piece.  I have also bought our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets.  Ouch….$65 a piece!  It will be worth it to Trick or Treat in the Magic Kingdom.  Our Cruise and both hotels are all paid for!  All that is left to pay for is Plane tickets home, the Dining package and tips (well and of course spending money).  I am so so so ready for a vacation!

Not Looking Good

So things are not looking good for my Grandfather.  He made it through surgery yesterday, but there were complications removing him from the anaesthesia.  He had an episode resembling a stroke or seizure and as of now does not have good brain function.   They have some more test to do to see if he is Brain Dead/Damaged.  I am very sad today!  I just keep praying for him and for the best, whatever that may be!

Please Pray … and some Happy Stuff for Good Measure

This morning my Dad called me and told me they were going to take PopPop into surgery this morning instead of Friday like planned.  I jumped up and got dressed and rushed to the hospital for a quick visit before work.  I was walking into the hospital at 6:45 am!  (YAWN!)  I visited and my whole family was there.  Before I left at 8:30 I hugged PopPop and told him how much I loved him.  I told him not to give them any hell during surgery and that I would be back after work.  He assured me he would be there.  I had to come into work because I had SOOO much work to do and it is all time sensitive.  I file foreclosures and everything is done on a time schedule!  Well my cousin Texted me a few minutes ago and the surgery is postponed until tomorrow morning.  (Yawn)  Looks like another early day for me tomorrow.

I want to thank everyone for thier kind thoughts and prayers.  I have gotten them all.  I just really don’t feel much like talking down.  I haven’t returned many emails or phone calls.  I have to work, I need a job, but after that I go to the hospital and then home to curl up on the sofa.  It’s how I am dealing with this all.

Saturday Pete and I needed a break from the week long hospital visits so we drove to NJ to visit Edwin, Kim and Julie.  We needed to meet their new little guy Zachary.  He is so freaking cute.  If you are my Flickr friend there are private pictures up.  If your are not my Flickr friend…why the heck aren’t you?

Here is a picture of Julie I took this weekend.  Isn’t she adorable?

The Weather here has been so warm lately….I have the A/C guy coming on Saturday for a check and repair of the air conditioning system!  Alyssa has enjoyed being out side in the great weather so much.

So Sad

I will be MIA for a while.  My Grandfather is dying.  He has an aortic aneurysm that is 9cm x 9cm.  That is the size of a large orange.  He needs surgery and doesn’t want it.  He told us he can’t do it again.  He had a horrible time in November when he had a triple bypass.  I don’t think he realizes that if he goes home he has 100% change of dying according to the doctor.  If he has the surgery he has a 50% chance of survival.  I am so sad, I can’t imagine him not being around.  I can’t stop crying and it is horrible.  He is going to die!  I took off work for the surgery tomorrow, but now that the surgery if off I have to go to work.  I need the time off for when he passes away!  God, why is this so hard!  My eyes are burning from crying!  I just don’t want him to die…I know I sound like I am whining, but it is WAY worse knowing that it is happening.  My Grandmother died all of a sudden, she was fine one day and dead the next.  I always wondered if it would be better to know, it’s not!  No one can tell him what to do, none of us (I have a large family) want to tell him to do it, I mean there is a 50% he could die in the surgery.  I know if it was me I would tell everyone tonight I loved them, say my goodbyes and tommorrow I would roll the dice and have the surgery.  50% of survival is way better odds the 100% chance of death!

Oh in better news,my good friends Edwin and Kim got a baby today, a little tiny 6 pounder, 6 days old.  They are calling him Zack!  I am so very happy for them and don’t know if I can wait a month to meet him!

Disney Snobs

So we went to Hershey Park on Saturday. Pete and I came to the realization we are Disney Snobs and don’t want to visit a non Disney park for some time. I went to Disney for the first time in 1982 when I was 3 years old, then I didn’t go again for 14 years or so. These 14 years were filled with trips to Hershey Park, Wild World Adventure WorldSix Flags (name changes) and Kings Dominion. This is all I knew. Then in the Summer of 1995 we went to Walt Disney World. It was hot and sticky and summer…yuk! But it was also Disney….I got that Disney Magic then. Wow was it Great! We visited Sea World and Universal on this trip too and I decided them they were not for me…no magic! In 1998 we went again to Disney and it was wonderful. We stayed on Property and the real love began. In 2000 we visited once more with a Disney Cruise thrown in. WOW now the love was growing and growing. I love Disney….It was a perfect place. In 2002 Nikki, Laura and Rachel went on a Land and Sea Trip, days at the park, days on the cruise. It was heaven. This is where I got to be in charge. It was the first trip without my Dad and I was boss. Nikki and I planned our days, our meals, our touring plans. We had books and studied online. We knew “how to do it right”. It was a great vacation so great I couldn’t wait to go again. I planned a trip with the ex BF in 2004. This trip was expensive and I footed the bill, I wanted to go so bad and had inheritance money so off we went. Looking back I wish I had taken my sister instead. But again I was the planner and loved all that entailed. In 2006 I went with my friend Jodi and her 3 kids. I was the expert. I led the way, I had the PERFECT trip planned and it went off with out a hitch. Then we were back for only a short time and I talked Pete into heading back in 2007. It was him and I, My Sister, Brother-in-Law, Dad, Dad’s GF and my (kinda) step sister. This was a great trip. We did so much, saw so much. Wow it was great. So great that when we got engaged we knew that in 2008 we would be HoneymooningDisneymooning at the World. We threw around a Vegas Wedding. I knew I didn’t want to be married at home, I had planned on failed wedding in Baltimore and didn’t want another. Then Pete came up with the Disney Cruise idea and it was set! Now we are heading back in 2009 for our first anniversary. This will be Trip no. 10! I am excited. This one will be the best yet since Alyssa will get to experience it all with us.

Now onto the snobbery!

Hershey Park….UGH….

I haven’t been in years and I forgot it isn’t the least bit magical, not the least bit pretty. It is like a state fair on the side of a mountain. I wish I had remembered the hills, I wouldn’t have worn flip flops! LOL

We weren’t there an hour before Pete started complaining….No Shows, No continuously piped in music, no meet and greets with the Characters (Hershey has three I think). The park is laid out horribly.  So much back tracking. There were no family rides. In Disney every member of the family can ride 90% of the rides, including a tiny infant. Here no way! Also the shows and the atmosphere it can not all be duplicated. The food was over priced and not tasty. Pete hated it, I was happy to be out in the sunshine (now sunburned) but didn’t like it. Laura didn’t like it and now after talking to Nikki she didn’t care for it much either. No way in hell would I pay over $50 to get in there. So Pete nailed it on the head we have all tasted “the Good Life” and are now Disney Snobs.

So be it. I would rather go to Disney every year (or every other) then have season tickets at a local park.

Hershey Park

Imported Photos 00258 by you.

Today we went to Hershey Park.  It was a beautiful day!  It got to about 80 degrees today.  Nikki’s cousin works for a company that rented to park out today.  We all headed to the park, there were tons of us.  Crystal couldn’t make it so I emailed Shannon O. to see if her and Miss Lore wanted to join us.  YAY they did.  We met them at the gates and hit the kiddie rides.  After about 4 or 5 rides poor Alyssa conked out.  She was beat and it was nap time.  So we all split up (this was the last time I saw Nikki and family all day).  Laura and Brandon wanted to ride some coasters so Pete and I sat with sleeping Alyssa.  When Alyssa woke up I checked in with Nikki and they were on the other side of the park.  We got lunch then I checked in with Shannon and gang….Damn they were on the other side of the park too!  We really headed the wrong way didn’t we.  We rode a few rides then Alyssa was melting down again.  We were all tired too.  Shannon called and Lore was having a melt down of her own.  Shannon told me they were getting ready to leave.  I met back up with her for about 20-30 minutes.  That is all!  UGH….It is so hard to do amusement parks with so many people, and so many people of different ages!  I was hoping to hang out with Shannon more and talk about that new baby (It’s a GIRL!).  Lorelei is getting sooo big and is just adorable.  She is funny and is talking alot too.  I just wanted to scoop her up!  I really need to get together with Shannon O. more often we live so close!  All of the pictures from today are HERE!

Busy Busy

We have been so busy lately, I will update soon, I promise!

Tomorrow we are heading to Hershey Park for a day enjoying the great weather!

Happy (almost) Easter

Alyssa's 2nd Easter

Laura took Alyssa to see the Easter Bunny yesterday!  Let’s just say It didn’t go well!

Alyssa looks so mad.  Poor thing.  I love this picture.  It will be so fun to look back on it in like 4 years.  LOL

If I am not back online before Easter I hope you all have a wonderful one!

Disney World – The First Time

The first time I went to Walt Disney World I was three years old.  We went in January of 1982.  We left my poor sister home with my aunt and took my cousin with us as an even trade.  My Dad’s younger sister, my aunt (different aunt obviously) went with us too.  It was a fun trip.  I only remember very little parts of it.  Like being mad at my aunt for not letting me control the Dumbo we rode on.  LOL  We also visited Sea World and Circus World while in Florida.  I scanned a few pictures yesterday.  I have a bunch more I will scan once my company leaves and I can sit in the other room alone for hours with out looking rude.  LOL

This is a Picture of Me in front of the Castle.  I love the castle so much!

Lisa in Disney! by you.

This picture is THE ONLY Picture of Me, My Mom and My Dad.  There should have been one more, but it was double exposed and had someones finger over it.  Thank goodness for digital.

Who knew 27 years later I would be standing in this very spot having Wedding Pictures taken?

I am sure my Parents never imagined.  I am also sure they had no idea then how much this picture of the three of us would mean to me now.

This picture is of my parents.  Look how young they look.

I tried to make a picture of the tree of us.  I did this in only a few minutes so the photo shop work is crappy at best…LOL

Me, Mom & Dad in Disney World by you.

I can’t wait to scan the rest of the pictures to have forever.  I also need to do a major Photo back up of my hard drive.  All this talk of that virus has me scared!

WOW April Already!

I can not believe that it is April Already!

Yesterday was my sister’s 3rd Wedding Anniversary.  I can not believe that it has been three years.  She was the prettiest bride I have ever seen.  She could have been in a magizine that day!  I am so happy for her.

zzkiss

Laura has also started a blog.  http://firemedicmama.wordpress.com/ So go say Hi!  (or just stalk her like I am sure some of you are going to do anyway).

Yesterday Michele and her family drove into town for a long weekend trip!  It was sooo good to see them.  Alyssa Fell in love with Thing 2.  She ow has a new BFF.  We enjoyed a tasy dinner of BBQ Chicken Nachos and a fun evening of conversation.   Miss Alyssa was there for a visit since Laura and Brandon went out to Celebrate being married and all!  LOL  It was alot of fun.

I am still a bit under the weather, but getting adjusted helped my head drain some and resting has helped.  Alyssa is better now, but Laura is still fighting the bug.
